Our client based in Sale are looking for someone to join their office in a part time Payroll Specialist role. Job Purpose The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for our external clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This role requires strong technical payroll knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent client communication skills. Responsibilities * Process payroll for multiple external clients accurately and on schedule, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, overtime, and deductions. * Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, statutory requirements, and employment law. * Maintain accurate payroll records and client files. * Prepare and submit RTI (Real Time Information) reports, P45s, P60s, and other statutory forms. * Liaise with clients to gather payroll information, resolve queries, and advise on payroll matters. * Calculate and process statutory payments, including sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, and holiday pay. * Manage payroll-related reconciliations and reporting. * Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices. * Assist with payroll audits and internal process improvements. * Ad hoc admin duties to assist business support, as necessary. Experience * Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role within human resources or accounting. * Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems, experience with Sage would be an advantage. * Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. * UK Payroll pension experience is essential. * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
