Senior Product Manager sought by the windows division of a global plastics manufacturer.
Their head office is in Herefordshire, but they are able to consider applicants from any UK location with fire-rated experience on a hybrid/remote basis, if not commutable to Herefordshire.
Role Objective:
With a new project under way to offer fire-rated windows and doors, the company is looking for an experienced construction industry professional to spearhead the project’s growth over the next several years. You will be responsible for managing 3rd party suppliers/customers in some circumstances and growing this area of the business. You will also be responsible for the management of their existing system accessories portfolio.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of the department you will play an integral part in the company’s Window Division. You will be responsible for the product management of current and future ranges, specifically bought-in system accessories and fire-rated window and door products.
Your duties will include:
1. Working on commercial topics such as strategy development, pricing, market research, compliance, stock management, sales analysis, and new product launches
2. Product management of system accessories including hinges, handles, locks, internal steel components
3. Development and product management of new fire door and fire window portfolio
4. Supporting the UK sales team in promoting a diverse range of fenestration products
5. Dealing with internal and external stakeholders: suppliers, purchasing/supply chain, sales, and marcomms
6. Working in conjunction with a team member within system accessories (no line management in this role.)
7. Ensuring the business continues to grow in a profitable and sustainable manner through the consistent implementation of the UK strategy by the team
8. Travel throughout the UK, 1-2 times per week
9. Occasional trips to the company’s testing facility in Europe
The successful Senior Product Manager will demonstrate:
10. Previous experience of product management within the construction or fenestration industry
11. Experience and working knowledge of fire-rated construction products, including application and legislative requirements is highly desirable
12. Educated to degree, HND standard is ideal, or qualified through experience
13. Experience of creating business plans, data analysis, spotting future trends
14. Ability to adapt to complex business situations and market requirements

18. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel is essential
