Where in Wellcome will I be working? As a Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner at Wellcome, you will be an integral part of the Finance team, closely collaborating with senior leadership to ensure the successful financial performance and strategic implementation of Wellcome’s mission. Your role is pivotal in providing sound financial advice, delivering complex analysis, and fostering strategic partnerships across various sectors of the organisation. You will act as Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner advising on the distribution of £1.4bn. You may also work on cross-organisation projects, working alongside diverse teams to comprehend and mitigate financial risks. This involves forging robust relationships with key stakeholders, including Director and Executive-level personnel, to serve as a trusted advisor. Through challenging and supporting initiatives, you'll influence business decisions, ensuring they yield quality outcomes with appropriate risk consideration. What will I be doing? In your capacity as a Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will manage your workload to deliver key financial insights and support Wellcome's overarching mission. Your role involves significant collaboration with multi-functional teams to navigate the complexities of financial analysis and reporting. Your expertise in leveraging prior experience to influence stakeholder decisions will be vital in providing both challenge and support. We are looking for someone who can; Manage and prioritise workload to ensure timely delivery of detailed financial analyses and insightful reporting that aids strategic decision-making. Minimum Criteria: ACA/ACCA/CIMA or relevant qualification. Solid experience in a core accounting role, focusing on month-end processes and comprehensive financial reporting. Finance lead on projects with significant impact, including cross-organisational collaboration Proven experience in management accounting, providing advice and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Advanced Excel skills, along with intermediate capabilities in PowerPoint and Word. Experience utilising finance and analytical systems, ideally with familiarity in Oracle systems.
