ALS Laboratories are looking for an Electrician to join their Facilities team in ALS. This role requires someone to perform a variety of tasks, including inspections, installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance. This is a national role, and will require regular travel to sites throughout the UK, and nights spent away from home. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an electrician, in a commercial/industrial environment. Do you have the skills required, if so, please read on About the Position Hours Per Week: 40 Days Per Week: Monday - Friday Contract: Permanent and Full Time Annual Salary: £37,000 Company Vehicle or Vehicle allowance Key Responsibilities Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports at the required intervals for all UK Life Sciences sites. Maintain accurate labelling of distribution boards and circuits. Install safety and distribution components as required. Complete preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs for a variety of laboratory equipment and instruments across the site. Provide support for refurbishment projects. Manage and respond to all allocated work requests in a timely and professional manner. Complete and maintain documentation in line with the requirements of the ALS Quality Management System. Work with the Facilities Team to provide the best level of service to the laboratories. Comply with ALS and ISO Health & Safety procedures. About you City & Guilds 2365 NVQ level 3 or equivalent relevant vocational training, or successful completion of an apprenticeship as an electrician. City & Guilds 2391-52 - inspection and testing of electrical installations, or equivalent. A thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple tasks and produce quality work to an agreed deadline. A professional and diligent approach to work and communication with colleagues. Able to work as part of a team and alone with the confidence to take lone decisions and action based on knowledge and experience.
