Key Responsibilities
* Fabrication and welding of mild steel, stainless steel, structural steel skids, pressure vessels, and pipework systems.
* Acid cleaning, grinding, and cutting of materials.
* Mechanical assembly and pressure testing of equipment.
* Installation of plant and equipment on customer sites.
* Inspection of equipment upon receipt or at manufacturers' facilities.
* Loading and offloading vehicles, packing, and despatch of equipment.
* Adhere to health & safety and company quality standards at all times.
* Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the business.
* When on-site, assume leadership of the site team as needed.
* Support development of apprentices or junior staff if at senior level.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Minimum Level 3 BTEC/NVQ (or equivalent) in Welding/Fabrication or Engineering.
* 5+ years of fabrication/shop floor experience within the welding/fabrication industry.
* Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Strong team player with a self-motivated and proactive approach.
* Customer- and service-oriented with good commercial awareness.
* Capable of managing work within budgetary constraints and using data to drive performance.
* Committed to continuous personal development and process improvement.
* Willingness to take responsibility for junior team members (if at senior or team leader level).
