Join Our Mission: SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People in Kent

We are actively hiring for multiple positions to meet the diverse needs of our students!



At Targeted Provision, we are dedicated to transforming the educational landscape for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND). Our focus extends to those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).



We are seeking passionate SEN / SEND tutors who are eager to make a difference in the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Kent. If you’re ready to inspire and uplift, we want to hear from you!

Your Role as an SEN / SEND Tutor


* Provide engaging tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other educational needs.


* Support students referred by local authorities and schools, guiding them through their educational and social-emotional journeys.


* Utilize flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approaches to tutoring and mentoring.




Key Responsibilities


* Plan and deliver tailored sessions that meet the unique needs of each student.


* Create engaging and holistic learning experiences that foster educational and social-emotional growth.


* Document progress through lesson reports and provide constructive feedback.




What We’re Looking For


* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS).


* A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.


* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs.


* Knowledge of safeguarding processes.


* Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost).


* Two professional references.


* Must be based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments.




Note: It is essential to promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people while adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.



Employment Details


* This position is structured as a Worker engagement for short-term assignments.


* You will work under a contract for service and be paid via PAYE.


* No guaranteed work hours or expense coverage.


* Our insurance covers the work you do for us.


* This is not a self-employed tutoring position.
