A client within the Public Sector based in North Somerset is currently recruiting for an Asset & Facilities Manager to join their Business Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position, with the ideal candidate having experience working within a local authority in an asset and facilities management environment.
The Role
The key purpose of the role is to deliver a professional, efficient, and comprehensive strategic management service across all non-domestic assets, including offices, commercial spaces, and community hubs, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s overall goals.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Strategic procurement, budget management, and value-for-money exercises
2. Management of office, commercial, and community hub premises
3. Contract and commercial lease management
4. Overseeing compliance, health & safety, and sustainability of non-domestic assets
5. Delivering refurbishment projects and managing large-scale repairs
6. Developing and maintaining an accommodation and disaster recovery strategy
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
1. A building services and/or asset management qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience
2. Proven experience managing service contracts and facilities projects
3. Budget management and contractor oversight experience
The following skills would be beneficial for the role:
1. NEBOSH or other health & safety qualification
2. Facilities management qualification
3. Experience working in the housing or property sector
Compensation and Application
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering £47,355 per annum.
