Salary - £40,000 to £50,000 DOE
Location: Chester CH1
Working Hours
8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday
8.30am to 1.30pm, Friday

JDR is recruiting for a design engineer to work in a large manufacturing site in Chester
Duties
This is a varied role, so perfect for someone who likes each day to come with it's own challenges. Your core duties will be as follows:
* Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Design mechanical components and develop complete assemblies using SolidWorks
* Recording and assisting other departments in investigating product complaints
* Diagnose and resolve design and production issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
* Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for improvement using data-driven approaches
About You
As a design engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or equivalent minimum)
* Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD design software
* Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
* Some experience within a manufacturing environment is preferable
* Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to change
