Rehabilitation Assistant - Integrated Community Stroke Rehab Team
The closing date is 12 November 2025
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Integrated Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team in Barnsley.
The service provides care to patients following a stroke in both inpatient and community settings. It enables patients to access rehabilitation therapy upon discharge home, with the same intensity and expertise that they would receive in hospital. The Integrated team allows for stroke-specific therapy to be continued as required for a maximum period of 6 months.
Successful candidates will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of nursing and allied health professionals in both community and inpatient settings, carrying out designated duties in a competent manner. It is essential that candidates have the ability to use their own initiative, have good communication skills and are able to manage their time effectively.
The use of a vehicle to undertake any necessary travel in connection with the duties of the post is essential.
Visa sponsorship under the Health and Care Worker visa route can only be considered if the prorated salary meets the minimum threshold of £25,000, as required by the UK Visas and Immigration. For Band 3 roles, only full-time positions at the top of the pay scale meet this threshold. Therefore, sponsorship may not be possible depending on salary increment placement and working hours.
