My client is a well‑regarded transport planning consultancy with an established presence in development planning. Supporting residential, commercial and mixed‑use schemes nationwide, their Manchester team is continuing to grow. This Senior Transport Planner position will see you becoming an integral part of that expansion.
Responsibilities
* Managing development planning projects from initial feasibility through to approval
* Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
* Undertaking junction modelling and technical analysis
* Liaising with local authorities and key stakeholders to negotiate outcomes
* Attending client and design team meetings
* Supporting and mentoring graduate and consultant‑level staff
* Contributing to fee proposals and business development activities
Qualifications
* Proven experience within development planning transport consultancy
* Strong technical capability in Transport Assessments and modelling software
* Experience negotiating with local authorities
* Project coordination and client‑facing experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Progress towards Chartership or a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
Salary for this Senior Transport Planner role is £45,000-£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
