Pharmacy outbound call assistant

Our client are seeking a proactive, friendly individual with a calm and professional telephone manner to join their pharmacy team as an Outbound Call Assistant. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting our pharmacy operations through proactive outbound calls to patients, ensuring prescription-related queries are handled efficiently and professionally. You’ll play a key part in maintaining excellent communication with patients, prescribers, and internal teams, ensuring every interaction is handled with care, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm (Fully Office-Based)

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct outbound calls to patients following triage, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of queries.

* Provide clear and accurate information to patients regarding prescriptions and products.

* Update patient records and systems accurately after each interaction.

* Liaise with prescribers and internal pharmacy teams to resolve patient issues quickly.

* Handle all interactions with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.

* Maintain compliance with all pharmacy, data protection, and confidentiality regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or patient support role (desired)

* Confident telephone manner and strong active listening skills.

* High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

* Experience using SAP or pharmacy/patient management systems.

* Prior experience in a triage or call-based healthcare environment.

* Empathetic, professional, and patient-focused.

* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.

* A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

* Self-motivated and proactive in managing tasks and follow-ups.
