A newly established renewable energy fund is looking to appoint a lawyer to join its expanding in-house legal team. With significant capital committed across infrastructure, renewables and real assets, this is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of a direct investment platform from an early stage.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting complex infrastructure and energy projects across a diverse portfolio that includes solar, wind, battery storage and other innovative asset classes. The remit covers the full lifecycle of investments, from development through to operation, and will include:
* Drafting and negotiating development and construction agreements (including EPC, O&M and related contracts).
* Structuring and executing acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures for new projects.
* Corporate structuring and governance of project companies and investment vehicles.
* Advising on PPAs, capacity arrangements and other key project contracts.
* Ongoing portfolio management, including subsidiary oversight and operational risk mitigation.
The Candidate
You will be a delivery-focused lawyer with:
* 3–5 years’ PQE with experience in projects, infrastructure or energy transactions.
* Strong contract drafting and deal execution skills gained either in-house or at a leading law firm. For those moving directly from private practice, prior secondment experience would be a distinct advantage.
* Exposure to project documents (e.g. EPC, O&M, PPA, grid connection, supply agreements) and the ability to work across varied asset classes.
* A commercial mindset and the confidence to take ownership of matters throughout the project lifecycle.
Based in central London with hybrid working practices, this role offers exposure to high-value renewable energy projects from development through to operation. It is an opportunity to shape a growing investment platform, combine transactional and project delivery experience, and play a meaningful role in driving the energy transition.
