Job Summary
As Market Access Manager UK & Ireland you'll develop and execute regional market access strategies to secure funding and adoption of existing and new Terumo Interventional Systems solutions. To do this, you will need to actively monitor and analyse country specific healthcare policy and funding reforms, identifying risks and opportunities. To do this successfully, you will partner closely with the Terumo IS country management in defining and executing market access adoption strategy. Your trainings and tools provided will support the Terumo IS field force in achieving their commercial goals, whilst keeping best possible patient outcomes at heart. In this role, you'll represent Terumo Europe and strengthen contacts with key market stakeholders in different countries.
In addition to the UK and Ireland, this role will also support our Nordics organisation (20%).
In this position, you report to Aline Topouchian, Market Access and HEOR Director EMEA with peers in the BENEFRA and DACH region.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate the execution of regional market access strategies for the UK-Ireland-Nordic countries to secure funding and adoption of existing and new TIS solutions, in close partnership with in-country TIS management team.
Advise and guide internal teams on:
1. the evidence requirements to support optimal coverage and adoption decision, in partnership with Medical Affaires
2. the f unding mechanisms (DRG system, innovative payment schemes, positive lists…) for all Terumo technologies
3. the country specific HTA programs (national and/or hospital based)
4. the optimal approaches appropriate to support the access for patients to TIS solutions.
5. the procurement frameworks and requirements
6. specific healthcare policy trends and funding reforms and analyse risks and opportunities
Build and strengthen contacts with key market access external stakeholders in the different countries (healthcare professionals, various payers (NHS organisations, hospitals, private payers…)…)
Provide training to Terumo field force about:
7. Coverage and reimbursement system and mechanisms;
8. Specific economics tools and trainings
9. Healthcare policy trends and reforms
Represent TIS at national trade Associations in relevant working groups.
Ablity to successfully manage project teams with internal (and external) stakeholders to achieve positive funding and adoption decisions.
Be a strong and reliable member of the EMEA market access team and able to work across different functions within Terumo organization (marketing, sales, tenders; Clinical & Medical teams, …); in-country and at the regional level.
Be recognised as the go-to expert contributing to business strategies from the reimbursement and market access perspective.
Willing to participate to pan-EMEA projects when relevant.
Profile Description
A higher academic degree in a scientific or Health Economics, Healthcare policy related field.
Knowledge of health economics concepts and modelling
Strong knowledge of the UK funding systems and mechanisms; and at least one of the major Nordics countries
Patient-centric approach
Proven track record in Project Management
Proven experience in Health Technology Assessment submissions (national or hospital based) and interaction with national and regional health agencies (NICE, NIPH)
Ability to communicate clearly and concise on complex topics
Excellent presentation skills, both verbally and in written
Adaptable and dynamic in navigating a matrixed organisation
Creative thinker with a willingness to challenge the status quo
Ability to tackle challenges proactively and propose solutions, take ownership
Fluent in English with additional linguistic skills relevant to Nordic countries seen as a plus
Ability and willingness to travel internationally when necessary (Leuven, BE HQ, international congresses, Industry associations, field visits, ...)
