Job summary
The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and input into the Older Persons Mental Health Community Psychiatry Team. Responsibilities include seeing patients primarily in outpatient clinics and occasionally through home visits. The post holder will conduct assessments for complex cases and supervise other team members in assessing referrals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will oversee clinical management via weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, support nurses in care coordination for complex cases, promote active caseload management, and utilize outcome measures. They will attend CPA meetings, conduct Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act assessments as appropriate, and be available for clinical advice during working hours.
