About you
* Hold a full and relevant level 2/3 Early Years Qualification
* Have a good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding duties, nursery procedures and policies
* Have good knowledge of birth to 5 development and the EYFS curriculum
* Practice within an early years setting
* Have excellent organisational and time management skills
* Demonstrate up‑to‑date knowledge in Early Years and a full understanding of children’s emotional, physical, psychological and educational developmental needs
* Have a positive attitude with an unwavering commitment to service excellence
* Be able to work as a team
* Have a professional attitude and manner
What you’ll be doing
* Supervising children within the nursery environment, including mealtimes, rest periods and nappy changing/toileting
* Creating fun and engaging activities to suit the needs of the children
* Promoting good hygiene practices
* Building solid, caring relationships with parents/carers, families, professionals and your team
* Keeping accurate records and communicating with parents/carers
* Supporting your team members and being a positive role model who looks to develop and suggest positive changes
* Leading the room in the absence of the room leader
* Attend staff meetings or any training courses that will help enhance your personal and professional development
* Monitor and record all accidents
* Adhere to and implement all nursery procedures and policies
