Join us as a Credit Lawyer in the Private Bank & Wealth Management (PBWM) Legal Team, where you will play a key role in providing transactional and advisory legal support to the PBWM Credit business and supporting functions.
You will be the point of contact for all parts of the Credit team, Credit Risk, Credit Operations, and the PBWM business on all credit-related legal matters. Your responsibilities will include supporting and managing credit transactions across various credit products such as Mortgages, Lombard Lending, and LMA Facilities, along with advisory matters, projects, and regulatory changes.
Essential Criteria:
* Experienced credit lawyer
* Strong knowledge of unregulated credit transactions
* Experience with LMA facility transactions
* Working knowledge of key credit regulations (e.g., CONC/CCA, MCOB, MCD)
* Experience lending to retail borrowers/consumers
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong commercial acumen and a practical approach
Highly Valued Criteria:
* Private Bank or Wealth Management experience
* Experience with regulated credit (CCA, MCOB)
* Knowledge of multi-option investment facilities
* Experience dealing with foreign counterparties and law firms
* Experience with UK, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man jurisdictions
