Overview
Reservoir Regulation Team Compliance and Monitoring Officer - 31871. The role is within the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management Directorate. The team oversees regulation of more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England with 25+ staff. Some travel and overnight stays will be required. This is a national role; hybrid working is available.
Responsibilities
* Help deliver regulatory duties as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England, supporting safe operation and management of dams.
* Apply a risk-based approach to designation and monitoring of on-site flood plan requirements; engage in clear and consistent communications with reservoir owners and panel engineers to encourage compliance with the Reservoirs Act.
* Support the team’s advisor by responding to information requests and providing licenses to share data.
* Manage the Compliance and Monitoring team’s SharePoint pages.
