EYFS Teaching Assistant Location: Chorley Pay: £103 - £110 per day Start Date: January 2026 About the Role: We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in [location]. You’ll be working within the Nursery and/or Reception class, supporting children aged 3–5 as they take their first steps in education. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early years learning, child development, and providing a nurturing environment where every child can flourish. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils in their social, emotional, and educational development. Work closely with the class teacher to deliver play-based learning activities. Provide 1:1 and small group support to children who need additional help. Promote positive behaviour, independence, and curiosity in young learners. Assist with setting up engaging learning environments, displays, and resources. Observe, record, and support assessment of children’s progress in line with EYFS framework. Requirements: Experience working within an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception). A relevant childcare or early years qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, CACHE, or Early Years Educator). A caring, patient, and creative approach to supporting young children. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
