Morrisons Team Leader - Stoke Gifford, Bristol
We are on the search for a highly-motivated customer-focused Retail Team Leader, with great team leading skills and objective orientated approach to their day-to-day work, to join our team and support the Management team in our new Morrisons Daily store, in the centre of our busy campus.
A background of working in the grocery retail sector in a similar role is essential, as well as experience working in a large department within a complex organization. Leading the team on the day to day shop floor operations, you will be proactive in ensuring the store looks at its best at all times, being part of the team in ensuring all staff are putting the customer first, and ensuring the due diligence of the store is being carried out by the retail assistants, the performance expected of the Retail team will show through your commitment, engagement and passion to achieve the very best in everything that you do.
Our new Morrisons Daily store supports not only the 3,000 resident students but also the students living off-campus and staff, as well as visitors to the campus. This busy store is at the heart of the student experience and we are looking for someone that can be adaptable to the day and the week’s requirements.
We’ve got big plans for the Hospitality service at UWE Bristol and you could be part of helping us achieve this vision by being part of the team in delivering great customer service and products whilst working to strict targets. Day to day, you’ll lead the team effectively in the store, working alongside the Store manager and Retail Assistants, as well as any Casual and Agency staff that may be involved in the running of the store, training up new members of the team, setting and working to financial targets and managing the required Due diligence processes; this role is essential in delivering an exceptional experience to all our customers.
You’ll be part of the Hospitality department, where we cater for around 100,000 people each week serving an array of different types of food and drinks in our 15 catering outlets across 3 campuses all located in Bristol.

This is a full-time post, working 37 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days, and being flexible to deliver the Morrisons Daily experience.
Any shifts after 8 pm attract an additional one-fifth of the hourly rate and overtime is paid at time and a half; with double time on a Sunday.
Interviews are scheduled to take place at our Frenchay campus.
