Purpose and Scope of the Role
Tetra Tech is seeking a Project Administrator to support the Programme & Commercial Team on long‑term AMP8/AMP9 frameworks, including a £100m United Utilities programme for river health in the North West. You will provide proactive administrative support to the Commercial & Programme Director and the wider commercial team, manage diaries, prepare presentations and spreadsheets, capture meeting notes and maintain programme documentation. Day‑to‑day, you will enable efficient decision making across multidisciplinary delivery teams, coordinate meetings and ensure timely distribution of project information for multi‑site capital delivery projects.
Your Impact in This Position
You will immediately increase operational efficiency and information flow across commercial and delivery teams. Over the medium term, you will streamline reporting and meeting processes, enhance document control and support stakeholder engagement that improves project outcomes. In the longer term, this role offers career progression into commercial support or programme coordination roles within national AMP programmes and exposure to influential client relationships.
Core Capabilities
* Organisational proficiency – manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate travel and prioritise tasks to meet programme deadlines.
* Commercial support skills – prepare accurate presentations, spreadsheets, charts and meeting packs that support commercial and programme decisions.
* Communication & stakeholder liaison – record and distribute concise meeting notes, maintain clear internal and external communications and support client engagement.
* Systems & data management – maintain shared folders, document control systems and ensure data integrity across reporting tools and MS Office 365 applications.
* Team collaboration & adaptability – provide personalised support to colleagues, respond to changing priorities and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Expected: experience in team administration, executive assistance or business support and strong proficiency with MS Office 365. Desirable: project or programme administration training and prior exposure to water or infrastructure sector processes.
Work Patterns & Locations
Hybrid role based at Lingley Mere (Warrington) with a minimum of three days per week in the office, plus regular site visits across the North West as required. Flexible arrangements are considered to support delivery and wellbeing.
