Location: Primary Schools across South Tyneside
Pay: £507 – £550 per week (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday | Full-time / Part-time

Milk Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants with a Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification to work across a variety of welcoming primary schools in South Tyneside.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, develop your skills, and make a real impact on pupils’ learning and development.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support both teachers and pupils to ensure a positive and effective learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
2. Assisting the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
3. Supporting pupils with additional needs (including SEND)
4. Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
5. Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation
6. Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
7. Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about working with children and supporting their development:
8. Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent)
9. Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
10. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
11. Strong communication and teamwork skills
12. A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
13. A genuine passion for education
