ASB Officer – Social Housing
Location: North West England
Contract: 3-Month Temporary (Strong Potential for Extension)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (Home Working with Estate & Office Visits)
We are partnering with a well-established Housing Association across the North West who are seeking an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and resilient professional who can manage ASB cases effectively while supporting residents and communities.
Role Overview
As an ASB Officer, you will manage a caseload of anti-social behaviour cases from initial report through to resolution. You will take a victim-focused, proportionate approach, working closely with internal teams and external agencies to reduce nuisance, harassment, and community harm.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of ASB cases in line with policies and legislation
*
Investigate reports of anti-social behaviour, including interviewing complainants and alleged perpetrators
*
Carry out risk assessments and ensure appropriate safeguarding measures are in place
*
Gather evidence, including witness statements, diary sheets, CCTV, and noise recordings
*
Take appropriate enforcement action, including warnings, acceptable behaviour contracts, injunctions, and possession proceedings
*
Prepare cases for legal action and attend court where required
*
Work closely with Housing Officers, local authorities, police, and support agencies
*
Provide regular updates and support to victims and witnesses
*
Maintain accurate case notes, records, and documentation
*
Conduct home visits and attend estate-based meetings as required
About You
*
Previous experience as an ASB Officer, Housing Officer (with ASB focus), or similar role (minimum 12–18 months)
*
Strong knowledge of ASB legislation, safeguarding, and enforcement tools
*
Confident managing complex and high-risk ASB cases
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
*
Experience working with vulnerable residents and multi-agency partners
*
Resilient, organised, and comfortable lone-working
*
Able to start on 5th January with no notice restrictions
