Job Title: Primary Teacher
Location: Whitby
Salary: £120 – £160 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teachers to work in schools across Whitby.
This rewarding role involves delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to primary-aged students while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. The successful candidate will help create a positive and stimulating classroom environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and confident in their learning.
Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Assess, monitor, and track students’ academic progress
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage positive learning attitudes
* Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
* Prepare lesson resources and classroom materials
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff
Requirements of a Primary Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, ECT/NQT, or equivalent teaching qualification
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant subject
* Previous experience teaching within primary schools is desirable
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Passion for teaching and supporting young learners
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
