Solution Architect – AA‑X
Location: London (hybrid working, 3 office days per week)

AA‑X is a flagship technology unit that uses data and AI to deliver safer, more enjoyable driving experiences. As a Solution Architect within AA‑X you will help shape the UK’s largest connected‑car platform, building scalable, secure, consumer‑facing applications that integrate real‑time vehicle diagnostics, IoT telemetry, and mobile first design.
Responsibilities
* Architect and evolve our Connected Car platform, integrating OBD‑II devices and real‑time diagnostics.
* Design scalable, secure, and resilient consumer‑facing applications across mobile and web.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate customer needs into robust technical solutions.
* Champion data privacy and security, ensuring compliance with GDPR and automotive standards.
* Lead technical discovery for features such as AI‑powered diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and third‑party integrations.
* Provide architectural guidance across the development lifecycle, mentoring teams on cloud‑native and mobile‑first strategies.
Qualifications
* Strong demonstrable experience in architecture, with a track record in consumer digital platforms.
* Fluency in React and Flutter, and experience building responsive, user‑centric applications.
* Experience in connected‑car or IoT ecosystems, including hardware integration and real‑time analytics.
* Deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Strong grasp of security best practices, compliance standards, and scalable design principles.
