is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex.
We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex and have 414 beds Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours – day and night, for long and short-term stays.
We are recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at our specialist dementia and nursing home Abundant Grace in Seaford
Hours - 36 hours per week – Will include every other weekend.
Reporting into the Head Chef/Chef, the purpose of this role is to assist in maintaining a quality Kitchen and catering service for our residents
Job Responsibilities
* To wash and dry all meal time crockery and cutlery using equipment and facilities provided.
* Cleaning of all food trays following use on their return to the kitchen.
* To wash and dry all bowls, trays, saucepans etc as used by the Head Chef/Chef promptly and efficiently.
* Ensure the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
* Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
* Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking porridge and helping to prepare salads and desserts.
* Preparing breakfast
