If so, we are looking to recruit a Mobile Library Driver to fill a position on the Cheshire West Mobile Library.
You will drive and help to deliver an efficient and effective mobile library, information and advice service to the public and to support the Specialist Customer Service Representative, Team Leader and Lead Librarians in providing efficient and effective solutions to customer queries and requests.
Your responsibilities will include driving the fully electric mobile library vehicle on agreed routes to designated stops, ensuring that the vehicle is parked safely for public use and welcoming users to the library. You will complete risk assessments for existing and new stops, have responsibility for the safe running of the vehicle, completing daily maintenance checks, reporting issues and liaising with partners to maintain safety whilst keeping comprehensive and up-to-date records of all driving and maintenance duties.
You will attend training courses as required to retain the necessary qualifications for this position.
You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop positive working relationships and be able to deal with varied situations in a pragmatic and supportive manner. You will have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver the range of services we provide.
This is a permanent position. Pattern of hours is hours, working Mondays and Tuesdays every week.
