Ninian Park is a diverse and bustling school community in the south of Cardiff. Staff are very supportive of one another and work hard to provide a happy, vibrant and exciting school for our children to learn in.
The Governing Body wish to appoint two pro-active, enthusiastic ALN Teaching Assistants, with a commitment to inclusive learning. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring, ethos of the multi-cultural school is essential. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, good interpersonal skills, show initiative, share in the planning and evaluation of activities and work well as part of a dedicated team.
The successful applicant will provide support for pupils with additional learning needs in Nursery and Reception. The appointment will be subject to suitably qualified candidates with NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education, NNEB or equivalent qualifications.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement wef 1st April 2026 which brings pay rates up to £13.45 per hour (scp 3 - 5). This supplement will be reviewed thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
