Job Description:
The key responsibilities and duties of the Electrician include, but are not limited to:
* Perform detailed inspections of electrical systems in aircraft landing gear assemblies
* Fabrication of wire harnesses and mechanical sub-assemblies
* Repair or replace faulty wiring and other electrical components
* Diagnose electrical faults or failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools
* Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to determine root causes of issues
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and interpret requirements
* Carry out preventive maintenance to extend the lifecycle of electrical systems.
* Maintain accurate records per MRO and regulatory standards
* Ensure compliance with EASA/FAA and company safety procedures
* Work with MRO, engineering, and QA teams
* Support and train junior technicians
* Provide AOG/on-wing support when needed
You should meet the following requirements:
* Diploma, ‘A’ Level or equivalent qualification in an electrical engineering subject would be desirable
* An Aerospace apprenticeship would be desirable
* Minimum 2+ years aircraft build/production experience
* Math’s and English GCSE A-C Grades equivalent
* Strong aerospace experience in an electrical role
* Essential background in prototype, panel, or aircraft wiring
* Skilled with aviation-standard tools
* Knowledge of wiring techniques and equipment (Boeing SWPM/SOPM a plus)
* Familiar with SAP (desirable)
* Understanding of legislative and quality system requirements (training provided if needed)
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and a flexible approach to work
* Rotating shifts: Monday–Friday (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00)
