Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant or experienced SpR Psychiatrist with a specialist interest in Addictions to join a forward-thinking service. This full-time locum role is available for an immediate start and will run for an initial period of 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality psychiatric care to individuals with substance misuse disorders
* Conduct assessments, risk evaluations, and develop individual treatment plans
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, and social workers
* Support harm reduction, detoxification, and rehabilitation programs
* Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with governance standards
Requirements:
* Full GMC registration with a license to practise
* CCT or significant experience in Addictions Psychiatry (SpR level considered)
* Strong understanding of substance misuse treatment models
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
