Job Title: Draughtsman / Designer Location: West Essex (Office-based) Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (dependent on experience) Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (subject to a 3-month probationary period) About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Draughtsman / Designer to join our team, working on bespoke carpentry and joinery projects. The ideal candidate will have experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of general joinery and carpentry works. You will play a key role in transforming concepts into practical technical drawings while liaising closely with project teams and clients. Key Responsibilities: Produce detailed technical drawings and designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Interpret design briefs and translate them into accurate, buildable solutions. Collaborate with the wider project team to ensure design feasibility and accuracy. Participate in project meetings and site visits as required. Work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ensure drawings comply with current building regulations and company standards. Requirements: Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Strong communication and time management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team. A solid understanding of carpentry and joinery techniques. Full UK driving licence (due to the office location and travel requirements).
