A well-established, not-for-profit elderly care provider is seeking a strong and credible Home Manager (Nursing) to lead a large care home delivering residential, nursing, and dementia care in Suffolk.
This is a senior Home Manager position within a complex and demanding service, requiring a confident, nurse-qualified leader who can set direction, manage challenge, and drive high standards across the home. The service has a large staff team and requires a Home Manager who is visible, authoritative, and able to bring stability and consistency.
The Role:

Overall responsibility for the operational and clinical leadership of a large, multi-disciplinary service
*
Acting as the Registered Manager for the home
*
Providing strong, visible leadership to a large and sometimes challenging staff group
*
Driving quality, compliance, and best practice across residential, nursing, and dementia services
*
Leading on audits, governance, risk management, and continuous improvement
*
Acting as a clear, confident point of contact for staff, residents, families, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
*
2–3 years’ experience in a Home Manager role within a nursing or dementia care setting
*
Strong background in clinical governance, regulation, and quality improvement
*
Proven ability to manage performance, challenge poor practice, and stabilise teams
*
Resilient, authoritative leadership style with strong people-management skills
*
Calm under pressure and confident working in a large, complex environment
The role offers a salary of £80,000 – £90,000 per annum and will suit a Home Manager who is robust, experienced, and comfortable leading in challenging environments, rather than someone still developing their leadership confidence.
