Overview
Metrology R&D Scientist II role at TieTalent. Asset Management Systems Scientist. Start date: asap. Contract duration: 18 months. Maternity cover. Location: Oxfordshire - Fully on site. PAYE rate: £153.85pd. Umbrella rate: £208.47pd.

Responsibilities
* Oversee all equipment management/metrology for the CTEC Oxford department.
* Follow processes for equipment purchase and installation (URS, validation plans, IQ/OQ).
* Organise servicing of systems, including obtaining quotes and supervising vendor visits.
* Carry out GxP analytical test methods as outlined in Technical Documents or Protocols.
* Responsible for Research, Method Development and troubleshooting lab systems including HPLC, UV-Vis, fluorimetry and FT-IR.
* Oversee training of new lab members.
* Draft and review Protocols, Working Instructions, Technical Documents, Technical Reports and SOPs.
* Use eQMS in a GxP regulatory environment.
* Carry out data interpretation, data processing and generate graphical outputs.
About You / Qualifications
* 3 to 5+ years knowledge of metrology and hands-on experience in developing analytical methodologies.
* Independent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Expertise in metrology and asset management.
* Lab-based with experience in developing in-house analytical methods; familiar with HPLC, UV-Vis, fluorimetry and FT-IR.
* Proficiency in drafting SOPs, Reports, Test Methods, Study Plans and Technical Documents.
* eQMS experience and ability to work in a GxP regulatory environment.
* Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
* Preferably MSc or PhD in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry; other subject areas considered.
Travel & Working Conditions
* No travel required, occasional visits to the R&D site at GDC, North Wales may be required.
* Full-time on-site lab work with exposure to chemicals and solvents; on-site in Milton Park, Abingdon.
* On-site role with no remote working.
