We are seeking to recruit a Practitioner Psychologist to join our Older Peoples Mental Health Service for a 12 month fixed term post for 30 hours per week due to maternity leave in the service. We are happy to consider applications from trainees graduating this year. The successful candidate will work as part of the Older Adults Community Mental Health Team, as well as providing psychology input into our Dementia Assessment Unit.
The service is a friendly and well established multi-disciplinary team. You will provide a psychological service to older adults both directly and indirectly with families and carers, working collaboratively with colleagues and other agencies to meet the needs of our service users. There is a strong ethos of multi-disciplinary working and trauma informed care. You will be supported and encouraged to develop your areas of interest and will have access to CPD opportunities and support to develop professionally.
Responsibilities
* Provide evidence based psychological therapy, making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
* Provide consultation and advice on psychological therapies and psychological elements of care.
* Assist the Team Manager/Clinical Lead with operational duties and service development, including research and development activities.
