Working with major UK brands across retail, corporate, hospitality and public spaces, this company delivers high-quality AV and digital signage solutions from design through to installation, commissioning and ongoing support.
Due to continued growth and an increasing project pipeline, they are now looking to hire a hands-on AV Installation Engineer to join their experienced team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on varied nationwide projects, travelling across the UK, and installing cutting-edge AV technology in high-profile environments.
The Role
As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering digital signage and AV installations at customer sites throughout the UK.
You will typically work as part of a two-person engineering team, supported by experienced Project Managers and an in-house technical helpdesk, ensuring every project is delivered to a high standard.
This role involves regular UK travel and overnight stays, all of which are fully expensed by the company. Every project is different, meaning you will gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and environments.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and commissioning of digital signage and AV hardware
Mounting and installing large-format digital displays and communications systems
Testing systems to ensure equipment operates correctly and meets specification
Carrying out fault finding during installation and commissioning
Supporting additional AV installation and service tasks when required
Working closely with Project Managers and fellow engineers to meet project deadlines
Completing installation reports and commissioning documentation
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and professionally on-siteWhat We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years' experience in an AV installation or similar engineering role
Experience using power tools and carrying out physical installations
Comfortable handling and installing large digital displays
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good IT and documentation skills
Professional and confident when interacting with customers
A positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn
Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamDesirable (Not Essential)
Full UK Driving Licence
CSCS Card
PASMA Certification
