We are recruiting for an experienced Despatch Coordinator.
This is an administration position, based on the shop floor of a very busy engineering company. It would suit a dynamic person who is not afraid of hard work.
Weekly hours:
Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm (39 hours)
Salary:
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all parts are shipped in line with specific customer requirements.
* Pack and arrange shipping of components to sub-contractors and customers.
* Vibro etch parts to specific customer specifications.
* Ensure all stock is recorded and stored properly.
* Raise dispatch notes, invoices, and process relevant paperwork.
* Maintain consumable stock levels.
* Maintain good communication, uphold quality standards, and ensure health and safety compliance.
* Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required by the business support coordinator and management team.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Experience working in a quality-conscious, high-speed environment.
* Neat and accurate handwriting.
* Ability to work accurately following procedures.
* Strong IT processing skills and familiarity with Microsoft products.
* Ability to maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
* Basic engineering knowledge.
* Experience with manual handling of high-value items is beneficial.
* Experience working in a target-driven culture.
* Ability to manage competing priorities.
