Your Role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant: Support students on a 1:1 or small-group basis, ensuring they are engaged and progressing in their learning. Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, adapting materials to meet diverse learning needs. Help create a structured and inclusive learning environment that supports students' academic and personal development. Provide emotional and behavioural support, helping students develop social and communication skills. Work closely with therapists and external professionals, gaining valuable insight into SEN strategies and interventions. Support students with daily routines, sensory needs, and independence skills. Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential, celebrating their progress and achievements. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ A graduate (any subject) with a passion for working with children and young people. ✅ A strong interest in SEN education, psychology, or child development. ✅ Experience working with children (voluntary or paid) in schools, tutoring, childcare, or youth work is beneficial. ✅ A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs. ✅ Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
