Join to apply for the CAMHS Crisis Practitioner role at Rotherham Doncaster & South Humber Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to transform the way Children and Young People’s Emergency & Urgent Care is experienced by CYP and those who care for them across Rotherham, Doncaster & South Humber. The CYP Crisis Team provides 24/7 crisis mental health assessment and interventions in a range of settings. The role primarily involves duty triage within core hours Monday to Friday, with shift patterns designed to support wellbeing and meet service requirements.
Responsibilities
 * Conduct comprehensive mental health risk assessments and plan crisis interventions.
 * Provide 7-day follow-ups and appropriate safeguarding for young people.
 * Deliver face-to-face work, crisis line support, and use of technology to support young people and their families.
 * Liaise with other services and external agencies to ensure effective pathways of care.
 * Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to implement and deliver the crisis service.
 * Prioritise and manage workload in a flexible manner to meet service needs, including potential lone-working when required.
Qualifications and Skills
 * Clinical knowledge and relevant experience in assessing and managing risk within a mental health or social care setting.
 * Professional registration with HCPC, Social Work England or the NMC is required.
 * Ability to travel to attend assessments and work across required settings.
 * Strong emotional resilience to support young people and families at times of distress.
Requirements and Considerations
 * Induction, internal training, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and supervision will be provided.
 * Ability to travel and flexible working to meet service needs.
