 
        
        About the Role
As a Trauma Counsellor, you will make assessments and offer specialist therapeutic interventions to individuals affected by trauma. Travelling to each of the four Family Support Hubs you will provide the service directly to children and families in their communities. You will work within a reflective, trauma‑informed framework, contributing to a safe and supportive environment for clients. The successful candidate will also provide consultation support to social work staff, offering therapeutic supervision to strengthen their ability to be reflective, effective and trauma‑informed.
Key Responsibilities
 * Provide assessments and counselling to children and families.
 * Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
 * Provide therapeutic supervision and consultation to social work staff.
 * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
 * Carry out evaluations and contribute to annual reports.
About You
 * Qualified counsellor/psychotherapist (minimum Diploma level) with 3+ years experience.
 * Accredited or working towards accreditation (e.g., BACP, COSCA, UKCP).
 * Experience working with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma.
 * Skilled in delivering trauma‑informed care.
 * Strong communication and organisational skills.

Hours: 35 hours per week. Vacancy type: Temporary. Salary: £46,005 – £46,991.
