Baltic Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Permanent Bar Steward/Manager based in Hetton. This role also requires a partner or spouse to assist the Bar Manager with the general running of the bar.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing the bar effectively to maximize profits while meeting customer service requirements.
* Engaging and managing staff to serve the bar and other functions.
* Ensuring compliance with HSE policies and practices.
* Recruiting, training, and supervising bar and cleaning staff.
* Maintaining stock levels, recording wastage, and participating in stock checks.
* Implementing security and safety procedures, including fire safety and alarm systems.
* Reconciling daily income and banking weekly.
* Ensuring hygiene standards and cleanliness throughout the premises.
* Attending Club Management Committee meetings as required.
Applicant requirements:
* High reliability, organization, and communication skills.
* Ideally holding a personal licence to sell alcohol.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Flexibility to work weekends and varied hours.
The salary ranges from £32,000 to £35,000 per annum. The Steward or Stewardess role can be salaried or hourly. This position is based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, in the hospitality and catering industry.
