Thisis great opportunity to join our dedicated Business team within NavigoCorporate Services on an 18 month fixed term or secondment basis. The role supports business units acrossclinical and non-clinical service areas, liaising with service area leads todrive service improvement, and provides efficient and effective supportservices in respect of business development
Thereis also the opportunity for a candidate to be recruited into this role as a developmentalopportunity on a Band 5 working alongside the existing Business Developmentteam to understand the processes and approaches to business support at Navigo,and to work with the team to develop the skills necessary to become asuccessful business development manager. Working across a full range of all ageservice areas, projects and stakeholders, you will become familiar with allaspects of the business development role working independently and as part ofthe team. You will be increasingly expected to work independently.
Main duties of the job
The role will provide business development and projectmanagement support throughout Navigo
This will include:
- Supporting colleagues across Navigo and NEL partners withthe development of ideas/innovations aimed at improving service delivery
- Supporting the development of business cases
- Developing delivery plans with key partners within services
- Playing a key role in the successful implementation ofservice transformation
- Co-ordinating the engagement of key stakeholders, includingservice users and carers to ensure proposals and co-produced
- Writing tenders with colleagues and seeking out grantfunding and tendering opportunities
- Providing high quality project management support
- Supporting the development and delivery of Navigo tradingarms
- Using complex spreadsheets and databases to record allrelated activities

Job responsibilities
Role responsibilities:
* Supporting the team to provide efficient and effectivesupport services in respect of business development and project management. Forexample, devising and implementing systems to support the development andongoing business of the organisation; delivery of business growth-basedprojects; market research/scoping and service operationalisation..
Supporting colleagues across Navigo and NEL partners withthe development of ideas/innovations aimed at improving service delivery acrossall ages, including supporting thepreparation of business cases and supporting delivery plans. Investigating opportunities for developmentof such new business areas and assess associated risks of potentialventures.
Supporting transformational change across operationalservice areas, requiring engagement with wider stakeholders at a Place levelincluding Childrens Social Care, health providers, education, Primary CareNetworks, Local Authority, Integrated Care Board, NELC, HCP, the Voluntary andCommunity sector, service users and carers.
Undertaking Horizon Scanning exercises, ensuring details ofpotential new/existing opportunities are clearly disseminated across theorganisation. This may include working closely with Navigo's Communications andMarketing Team to undertake marketing, research, event promotion, awarenessraising and networking opportunities.
Providing periodic updates to the Membership Board and otherforums.
Work collaboratively with the Senior Corporate AffairsManager of Navigo to develop and nurture relationships with potential partners,including within the third and corporate sectors.
Ensure service user, community membership and expertsby experience are actively engaged in all projects and service developments
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working within a large complex organisation.
* Proven track record of successful project support
* Knowledge of maintaining setting up administration and filing systems
* Knowledge of health and safety issues in a complex environment and the implications of poor compliance
* Proven track record of successful tender production support
* Proven track record of achieving targets for generating income through commercial products and services
* Proven track record of success with attaining grants, tenders and awards
* Attained Health & Safety qualification to at least IOSH
* Has an evidence Portfolio
Qualifications
* Evidence of a sound educational background including Maths and English
* RSA III Typing and Word Processing or skills to equivalent standard
* Advanced IT qualification or in depth experience of using Microsoft Office or equivalent experience.
* Management Qualification to Level 4 or above or equivalent experience
* Attained recognised business administration/secretarial qualifications
* Certificate in Capital Investment Planning (Return on Investment)
* Project Management Qualification or experience of providing project officer support to projects/programmes of work
