Main duties of the job
Main duties will involve workingwithin Tier 3 services as part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team. You willcollaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as nurses, dietitians,physicians, surgeons, psychologists, and administrative staff to assess,provide interventions, and monitor patients from diverse geographical areas.
Clinical Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patientsreferred to the Obesity clinic to determine suitability and create personalizedcare plans.
2. Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care withinthe nurse-led clinic while adhering to evidence-based practices.
3. Manage patients within the obesity treatmentprogram alongside the multidisciplinary team, following established protocols.
4. Offer nutritional, motivational, and healthpromotion advice to patients in clinic settings and over the phone.
5. Support patients referred for bariatric surgery preoperation, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
6. Perform venepuncture when necessary and takeappropriate follow-up actions based on results.
7. Communicate effectively and empathetically withpatients, addressing barriers to lifestyle changes.
8. Assist in clinical data collection for auditpurposes and maintain accurate medical records.

Experience
Essential
17. Evidence of empathy and compassion towards people living with obesity.
18. Ability to work independently as well as within an MDT.
19. Excellent communication skills.
20. Car Owner.
Desirable
21. Previous Bariatric or Weight Management / Obesity experience.
