Teaching Assistant - required from September 2025
Permanent position - term time only, 31 hours per week + 5 INSET days
Salary: Grade 2 - £24,404 - £24,790
(Grade 3 £24,790 - £25,584 would be considered for experienced candidates)
Norton Hill School is an oversubscribed, successful school serving Midsomer Norton and the surrounding area and is an integral part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership. We are currently recruiting for a new Teaching Assistant based at Norton Hill School.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional, highly motivated, and hard-working Teaching Assistant to support in class, 1:1, and in specific interventions.
The following would be desirable but not essential:
* English and Maths GCSEs
* Experience across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
* NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification
* Completion of the DfES Teacher Assistant Induction Programme
We will provide training for inexperienced applicants.
