Role: Property Damage Claims Handler
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Between £25,877 – £29,777 DOE, plus up to £1,500 performance-related bonus per annum, paid quarterly once established in the role.
Acorn Insurance is seeking Motor Third Property Damage Handlers to join our expanding Claims Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a busy and thriving department. Experience dealing with Defendant Third Party Insurance Claims is preferred. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of motor insurance claims valued at over £1 million and will receive ongoing development to enhance technical and commercial decision-making skills, minimizing indemnity spend on road traffic collision claims.
Responsibilities include:
* Validate all motor claims for indemnity and fraud
* Assess liability proactively following investigations of road traffic collisions
* Accurately assess damages using relevant tools and determine losses related to motor insurance claims
* Apply accurate reserves according to company guidelines
* Follow best practices and key strategies
* Manage files and portfolios effectively
* Perform ad hoc tasks as needed by the business
* Maintain accountability for personal performance against objectives
Qualifications and skills:

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
* Ability to gather facts and analyze information for accurate decision-making
* Knowledge of civil procedure rules related to offers, acceptances, and litigation risks
