Job Information
Deliver excellent service standards for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting all SLA agreements.
Main Duties
1. Undertake all training required to deliver the caretaking role.
2. Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
3. Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and is in safe working order.
4. Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals used by Mitie.
5. Be responsible for maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety within the school premises and grounds.
6. Undertake cleaning of slippery floors, spillages, bodily fluids, and other emergency cleaning tasks.
7. Monitor helpdesk jobs and address/close within timelines and SLAs.
8. Act as key holder for unlocking/locking buildings as required.
9. Perform porterage tasks as per SLAs and school requests.
10. Keep areas free from litter.
11. Respond as first attendee to helpdesk jobs and provide feedback or resolve issues.
12. Empty internal and external bins.
13. Set up rooms for examinations and functions, then restore layout afterward.
14. Perform PPM tasks, including fire alarm and sprinkler tests, monthly emergency light tests.
15. Cover out-of-hours building use on a rota system.
16. Ensure access for contractors and escort them if necessary.
17. Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns.
18. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
19. Undertake other duties within capability as needed.
