What you will do
What you will be doing.....
1. Working a 40 hour 'week about' shift pattern: 06.00-14.30 and 14.00-22.30 with alternate Saturday mornings.
2. Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer’s procedures
3. Working to the highest standards surpassing manufacturer’s and VOSA standards
4. Fast and accurate fault diagnosis using the latest diagnostic equipment
5. Participating in the ‘out of hours’ standby/call out rotas
6. Liaison with Parts Department to ensure correct parts are issued to enable job to be completed efficiently and within set timescales
7. All aspects of ISO, H&S and Environmental regulations are adhered to including the use of Personal Protective Equipment
8. Following company processes by completing all relevant paperwork
9. Completing thorough safety checks and preparing vehicles for MOTs
10. Ensuring product knowledge and skills are maintained, kept updated and in line with company requirements
11. Attendance at training courses when identified and as required.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
12. Excellent diagnostic skills
13. Proven technical qualifications or proven experience repairing and maintaining vehicles
14. Driving licence (HGV Class 1 would be an advantage, not essential).
15. Good team player
16. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
17. Ability to work on own initiative
18. Problem solving skills
