Teaching Personnel are seeking caring, patient, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work in a range of SEN schools across the Southampton area. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a variety of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with additional needs. Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies. Encourage and motivate students to reach their potential both academically and personally. Support with daily classroom activities and promote independence. Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment. Requirements Previous experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, or care settings). A compassionate and resilient attitude. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
