Science Teacher – Full-Time, Long-Term Position
Location: Bushey
Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 (dependent on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
We are excited to partner with a highly regarded secondary school in Bushey, known for its academic success, inclusive values, and nurturing learning environment. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting January 2026. This role is open to both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about making science engaging and accessible to all students.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach dynamic, hands-on Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
* Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is preferred
* Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity and inquiry
* Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track their academic development
* Collaborate with the department on curriculum development and share teaching resources
* Support students in their GCSE preparation, including coursework and revision
* Encourage participation in STEM clubs, science fairs, and other enrichment activities
* Engage with the wider school community and contribute to school life
Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (strong unqualified applicants will also be considered)
* Experience teaching Science at the secondary level
* Passionate about science education with excellent subject knowledge
* Adopts a creative, student-centred approach to teaching
* Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student achievement
* Possesses (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
