Band 5 - Neurodiversity Paediatric Occupational Therapist
The Neurodiversity Team is a multidisciplinary team that includes parents, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, paediatricians, clinical psychologists, administrators, the voluntary sector, and educators.
The successful candidate will work as an Occupational Therapist in the Neurodiversity Enfield team for children 0-6. This team is designed to improve assessment waiting times and provide needs-led, family-centred support for children under six with neurodivergent learning needs. This includes psychoeducation on Neurodiversity and areas of need such as toileting, behaviour, and sleep.
The post holder will possess expertise in assessing and supporting children, young people, and families with neurodivergent learning needs. This will include assessment, providing second opinions, offering specialist advice, and developing and delivering training for families and external services.
The position requires an OT capable of working effectively and flexibly within an interdisciplinary framework, engaging with various professionals in a multidisciplinary and multi-agency environment. The post holder will be responsible for fostering strong relationships and facilitating communication between the Neurodiversity Team and the OT Community Team to optimise service delivery.
