tmactive are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to be based at our Tonbridge Swimming Pool. This is an exciting developmental role which is ideally suited to individuals looking to progress into management within the Leisure industry. Supporting the Duty Manager with operational activities within the centre, this role will enable the successful candidate to learn key managerial skills whilst gaining in-depth practical knowledge required to operate a highly successful leisure facility.
The successful candidate will be supporting health and safety operations, driving customer service excellence and managing the Lifeguard team.
This position involves working on a shift basis including days, evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and First Aid at Work Qualification (FAW).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
To assist in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Centre, and the services it provides acting in a front of house capacity to ensure the highest standards of service delivery to the customer.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
* To act as Team Leader on a pre-arranged shift rota, to include both Duty Management and Recreation Assistant duties, in accordance with the operational requirements of the facilities.
* To establish, develop and maintain effective supervisory relationships with staff and the general public, and to promote the Centre, facilities and services, observing Customer Care practices at all times.
* To assist in co-ordinating the effective deployment of the facilities' resources, ensuring the maintenance of safe working practices and monitoring of safety procedures.
* To assist with maintaining the correct staffing levels for the operation of facilities in accordance with staff rotas.
* To assist with the development and mentoring of Recreation Assistants.
* To efficiently prepare sports and social facilities, ensuring that equipment is safely stored and facilities remain clean and free from hazard.
* To ensure the safety, security, cleanliness and hygiene of the Centre at all times.
* To ensure that reconciliation of all monies is carried out in accordance with the Trust's financial regulations and be responsible for checking all monies recorded on the daily shift.
* To ensure records and checks are correctly completed at all times.
* To act as keyholder and to be "on call" in emergencies as required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES Contd.
* To provide coaching and teaching services to Customers to an appropriate level as required by the activity programme.
* To provide First Aid assistance as necessary to promote recovery, and to fully report any such incidents.
* To hold a personal licence at the Centre if applicable.
