Senior Pricing and Data Science Analyst (UK & I)
Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 2 days per week on site)

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
Role Overview
The Senior Pricing and Data Science Analyst will lead the delivery of complex, system-driven pricing and analytical solutions across the UK & Ireland portfolio. This role combines advanced modelling, pricing expertise, and oversight of pricing systems to shape strategy, strengthen governance, and enhance analytical capability.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you’ll own end-to-end initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and provide technical leadership and mentorship across the function.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and enhance pricing models, emulators, and analytical tools to deliver accurate, robust, and explainable outputs.
* Lead system-driven pricing initiatives, working cross-functionally to productionise models and implement changes safely and efficiently.
* Deliver clear, impactful insights and pricing recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
* Own renewal performance monitoring, providing detailed analysis against key KPIs and supporting performance tracking.
* Build and maintain pricing insight tools to support operational teams and inform delegated authorities.
* Analyse pricing variance and collaborate with underwriting to guide discount strategy and governance.
* Design tools and frameworks to support pricing decisions for high-value and high-risk segments.
* Apply advanced analytics, including elasticity modelling, to inform pricing strategy and planning.
* Partner with underwriting and commercial teams throughout planning cycles to enable data-driven decisions.
* Provide technical mentorship and support to junior analysts, contributing to overall team capability.
Qualifications
* Strong numerical degree (or equivalent experience) with significant experience in pricing, data science, analytics, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of pricing, analytics, and data science principles, with proven application in a commercial environment.
* Advanced Excel skills (modelling, pivots, VBA) and strong SQL capability, with experience working with large, complex datasets.
* Experience developing pricing systems, emulators, or analytical tools.
* Experience with statistical and predictive modelling techniques (e.g., regression, GLMs), or a strong interest in developing expertise in these areas.
* Good understanding of governance, model risk, and change control within a regulated environment.
* Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and present effectively at governance forums.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
